A World Health Organization (WHO) transport was attacked yesterday in Myanmar. The van was carrying “surveillance coronavirus samples,” and those were taken when the van was fired upon by unknown persons. The driver, Mr Pyae Sone Win Maung, was injured at that time, and has since succumbed to his injuries. That area of Myanmar is involved in conflict between the military and insurgents, both of whom have denied knowledge of, or participation in, the attack. The country has reported just over 110 cases nationwide, with heavy lockdown precautions in place.
