About 1000 people marched from Ward 7 in DC to the White House. The march was mostly silent, occasionally broken by chanting of “Black Lives Matter” and hymns like Amazing Grace. Organized by multiple DC pastors, they decided they wanted this march to feel different. “Our protest needs to be different. It does need to be more spiritual,” said one of the pastors. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) marched with them yesterday, saying that he was doing it to make sure that people know “…that Black lives matter.” He also posted a picture of his father marching in protests in the 1960’s. President Trump mocked Romney this morning, tweeting “Tremendous sincerity, what a guy. Hard to believe, with this kind of political talent, his numbers would “tank” so badly in Utah!”
